Apple continues its efforts to increase its market share in the phone business. Recent leaks claim that the US manufacturer is testing under-screen Face ID technology to take the screen experience on iPhones to the next level. However, it seems that users will have to wait a while longer for the iPhone with under-screen Face ID.
iPhone with under-screen Face ID will arrive later than expected
Reports that emerged in January were that Apple would test under-screen Face ID technology on the Pro models of the iPhone 16 series to be introduced this year. However, recent leaks show that there are some important changes in the development process, and users will have to wait a little longer.
If the rumours are true, Apple will include under-screen Face ID technology in iPhones that will be released in 2027. This means that the manufacturer is subject to any name changes, etc. If not, it corresponds to the iPhone 19 family. Of course, we should point out that all of these are just claims, and it would be better to wait for the official statement from the company.
We can say that the reason behind Apple ‘s decision to postpone the technology in question for a few more years is the company’s cautious policy. Because we have witnessed in the past that many technologies came much later than expected.
Apart from this, the brand’s calendar for the coming years, apart from the standard iPhone models, has also been announced:
- iPhone SE 4: 2025
- Affordable Apple Vision Pro: 2026
- Foldable iPhone: 2026
- Foldable iPad: 2027
So, what do you think about this issue? What are your expectations from the new products and technologies that will be released in the coming years within the scope of Apple’s road map? You can share your opinions with us in the Comments section below.
